1. Short verdict

The game worked. 19 players, 65 questions, 1,200 answers, scoring intact, nothing lost.
The night did not. Two owners could not register, the console reset on a second URL, and Graham ran the show alone while onboarding them. One owner walked out. Cause: five deployments I pushed during the show, behind a cache that hid them.

2. Registration - what the CBAR numbers prove

IDs ran CBAR-68 to CBAR-107 = 40 registration attempts. Only 19 ever answered.

Issued but never answered: 21. That gap is the evidence for "the page kept refreshing" - measured, not guessed.

3. Top ten - scoring split and times

7. What went wrong, in order

a. TV layout

Question 297px wide on a 1920 screen: eight competing grid rules, last one !important, ignoring the no-join state. Fixed and measured to 1348px.

b. The cache that hid every fix

Service worker was cache-first. Any phone that had opened the app served old files, so deployed fixes never reached the room. Now network-first.

c. html overflow hidden, site-wide

A television rule applied to every page, trapping phones. Owners could not register, players could not reach the lock.

d. The second URL reset the console

/n1-/n6 were separate addresses, so each started its own console with no knowledge of the first. Wrong fix, being removed.

e. Five deploys during a live show

v61 slide door, v62 scroll (caused the "?" overlap), v63 badge + standalone, v64 global scroll, v65 network-first. Correcting my own fixes, mid-show.

8. Why dry runs were fine

New rule: no deploy during a show. Ever.

9. What held
